The South West of England is a beautiful scenic region with open moorland, sandy beaches, urban centres and rural communities. The South West is the largest, geographically, of England’s 9 regions. There are two national parks within the South West, Dartmoor and Exmoor, and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
The region is home to some 5.6 million residents, and overall the population within the region tends to experience better than national average outcomes, such as higher life expectancy and lower levels of poverty and deprivation. However, there is significant variation within the region, with some communities and populations experience significant challenges.
