Exploring NHS Health Check delivery in the North East and North Cumbria – developing research priorities and partnerships.

A research event jointly hosted by the ADPH NHS Health Check network and Fuse, The Centre for Translational Research in Public Health.

This event aims to bring together stakeholders involved within the delivery of the NHS Health Check including commissioners, providers, researchers, and community voices to build collaborative relationships and explore the priorities for research in relation to the NHS Health Checks in the North East and North Cumbria.

Speakers to set the scene will include for example Dr Louise Tanner and Dr Ryan Kenny (Newcastle University/NIHR Innovation Observatory) with updates on their NHS Health Checks Systematic Review and the North East North Cumbria ICB Cardiovascular Disease network.

Workshop activity will focus upon; health inequalities, building the evidence base, identifying where there are gaps in the evidence base, providing a continuous and consistent approach to evaluation, identifying resources to fund research, and building networks and collaborative relationships between stakeholders and researchers.

Who is the event for?

The event is for anyone working with the NHS Health check including academics and researchers, NHS Health Check network members, Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Prevention network members and clinical leads, NHS Health Check providers and commissioners, local authority leads, community representatives, data managers, Healthwatch representatives and public health.

What will I gain from this?

You will have the opportunity to contribute your perspectives on building working relationships between researchers and stakeholders delivering and commissioning NHS Health Checks, exploring research priorities and addressing evidence gaps. In addition to facilitating research to support local practice.
