Statement: Response to NAO report on NHS Test and Trace

This interim report from the National Audit Office on the NHS Test and Trace Service comprehensively details its development, progress, and challenges – including the perspective of Directors of Public Health. 

ADPH has consistently advocated for a ‘team of teams’ approach to contact tracing and testing, with the responsibilities of each part of the system, whether local or national, clearly articulated and properly resourced.

The new NHS Test and Trace Business Plan highlights the importance of partnership working and Directors of Public Health will continue to play their part in translating this aspiration into reality.
